AROMATIC SKIN CLEANSING

 The scent of spring in the air makes us aware of new life and new beginnings.
Take a few minutes to look at your skin!

Even though you can’t see anything happening, your skin is working very hard. Underneath the first layer of your skin, new skin cells are regenerating. When new cells mature, they start moving toward the top layer of the skin and newer cells continue to move towards the surface of the skin.   

Our skin sheds about 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells a day. When we wash our body, it cleans most of the cells away, however still can leave the body feeling dry and scaly.  Cleansing diets, steams, exfoliating, and massage allows the skin to breathe properly. This helps eliminate toxic waste via perspiration creating a vibrant, rejuvenated healthy looking skin. 

SIMPLE STEPS TO A SKIN SPRING CLEANING

 CHANGE DIET

  • Eat mineral rich foods such as leafy greens, peppers, broccoli and sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, fish and kelp. (These include minerals such silica, sulphur, calcium and magnesium that specific minerals for your skin)
  • Adequate of high vegetable protein foods.
  • Increase fiber such as vegetables, fruits, flax seed meal, oats, whole rice, and beans to keep your colon clean.
  • Drink 8 glasses of water a day with fresh squeezed lemon.  Water keeps you flushed so that waste and toxins won’t be excreted through the skin.  And prevents dehydrated skin.
  • Mild exercise keeps your skin’s circulation free and flowing
  • Fresh air and early morning sunlight on the body for natural vitamin D
  • Eliminate Caffeine, sugars, saturated fats, red meat and smoking, 

AROMATIC STEAM

Steaming with essential oils is an excellent way to moisturize the skin and increase circulation and at the same time relaxing, allowing the body to distress itself.  It will help clean the skin and leave skin looking youthful and vibrant by unclogging the pours.

Inhalation of oil of Juniper & Lavender has a calming diuretic effect. 

AROMATIC EXFOLIATION

Exfoliation is the removal of dead skin cells from the outer skin layer.  This brings a fresh skin to the surface and stimulates cell growth in the lower layers.   

DEAD SEA SALT ROSE GLOW
50 g Dead Sea Salts
2 tbsp of dried rose petal herb
3 tbsp of Jojoba oil
2 tbsp of Rose Hydrosol
10 drops of Cedar wood
Combine the ingredients to form a paste. Use in the shower instead of soap. 

AROMATIC SUGAR SCRUB
50 g of Enriched brown Sugar
3 tbsp of Hazelnut oil
3 tbsp of Chamomile Hydrosol
3 drops of Lavender
Combine the ingredients to form a paste. Use in the shower instead of soap.

 AROMATIC MASSAGE

Gentle massage stimulates the lymphatic system, which helps clear the body of a build up of waste products.  The relaxing effect of the massage can reflect on the skin and immune system.  

AROMATIC REJUEVENATING MASSAGE BLEND
10 drops of Lavender
5 drops of Geranium
5 drops of Rosemary
30 mls of Jojoba oil
