Angelica Root  is used as a flavouring for liqueurs such as Chartreuse and Benedictine. This indicates its ancient herbal digestive properties.  Angelica Root is said to throw a cloak of spiritual protection around the user. For this reason, the root was widely used in history during times of epidemics, such as the plague. Known by Christians as 'the root of the Holy Ghost' and it was also linked with the archangel Michael.

It has a rich herbaceous aroma ideal for diffusing, so you may try adding 3 drops of Angelica and 4 drops of Sweet Orange to a diffuser or in a bath.

Ideal oil for those who are feeling weak or under the weather.  Try blending 3 drops of Angelica with 5 drops of Tea Tree in 10ml of Peach Kernel oil.  Add the blend to a warm bath or massage into the skin daily – remember: do not expose the skin to daylight for 12 hours afterwards.
