This Bay oil has a fresh, strong but sweet, camphoraceous and slightly spicy odour. It has bactericidal, fungicidal, antiseptic, expectorant, digestive, carminative and diaphoretic properties. Its uses are therefore beneficial for the digestive system – as an appetite stimulant, but also to expel wind, settle stomach pain and it has a tonic effect on the liver and kidneys.

Its antiseptic properties are good for the respiratory system and it is an expectorant with mucolytic properties. It is therefore indicated for use in a diffuser or inhalation, blended with a carrier oil or lotion as a chest rub or used in the bath.

Methods of Application:  Bay is recommended to treat skin conditions such as ulcers, boils and acne. It is also good for oily skin.

Bay is also a good oil to use for energising, try it in a diffuser or make your own shower gel with our foam base.

Energetically, Bay promotes confidence, insight and courage.
